Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia Selects CB&T as Onsite Bank

West Point, Ga. — Commercial Bank & Trust of Troup County has been selected to open a banking office inside the KMMG plant in West Point.
CB&T President and CEO Frank McRae said that he is proud for the bank to be associated with Kia in this endeavor. “We look forward to the opportunity to serve Kia and its team members for years to come,” McRae said. The branch is scheduled to open September 20, 2010.
This will make the sixth bank location for CB&T in Troup County, which has four offices in LaGrange and one in West Point. CB&T was recently named Large Employer of the Year by the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce.
KMMG Sr. Vice President Keun Sik “KS” Kim is eager for team members to have easy access to banking services. “We are excited that CB&T will soon provide a full array of convenient services to our ever-growing population of team members.” Bank hours will be customized to accommodate both morning and night shifts.
CB&T is a division of Synovus Bank which has offices in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina.
Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. (KMMG) is the first manufacturing site in North America for Kia Motors Corporation based in Seoul, Korea. KMMG is located on 2,200 acres in West Point, Georgia, and is scheduled to begin production in the last quarter of 2009. At full capacity, the plant will have the ability to produce 300,000 vehicles annually and employ approximately 2,500 team members.
